Regional Format for the O60 Nationals

The O60 Nationals will mark a meaningful shift toward a truly regional competition format.

In earlier MCUISA O60 tournaments, teams were typically formed by selection or executive

committees because the player base was not yet large enough across individual regions to

support region-based teams. This year, that has changed—allowing the tournament to

reflect a more authentic regional structure, similar to O40 and O50 age group teams.

Another important significance to the Nationals is that this will be the only MCUSA tournament for the O60’s prior to the IMC O60 World Cup scheduled in CANADA during August of 2026. Jeevaka the Captain, Raj Badadare the Coach and the think tank will be looking at performances of players and reserves picked in the World Cup squad with a great deal of interest. The players too will be keen to exhibit good form. In all six teams will be participating in the Nationals.

• The Hawks will be led by Sankar Jayram.

• The East Titans will be led by Sandeep Karwa.

• North Supreme will be led by Ahmed Choudhry.

• The Royals will be led by Pardeep Gill.

• North Bears will be led by Ravi Suri.

Tournament Coverage and Build-Up

MCUSA Media will cover the tournament with match reports, visuals, and graphics. In the

days leading up to the opener on May 30, additional previews will spotlight each team and

highlight key players. An itinerary of events is also attached to help readers follow the build-
