MCUSA is organizing over 40 zonals in Albany from july 10- july 15 2026
The Masters Cricket USA Over-40 Zonal 2026 Championship will take place at the NY Ovals in Albany from July 10 to 15. Often viewed as the Northeast cricket community’s own scenic showcase, the venue evokes Cape Town with its Table Mountain-like backdrop, green hills on one side, and blue lakes beyond the grounds. Since opening four years ago, the facility has improved significantly, reflecting the dedication of Ashok Adikoppula and his team, who own and maintain the fields. Their efforts have made the NY Ovals a growing source of pride for cricket in the Northeast.
This year’s MCUSA Over-40 Zonal Championship carries added importance because it comes just months before the IMC Over-40 World Cup in Guyana this September.
The schedule for the zonals is typically all the 4 zonal teams play against each other in league phase to get their combinations right. Given the players are selected from various teams; and come together mostly first time during Zonals, these are important matches to build up the team chemistry.
After a day of rest; based on the rankings at the end of the league match; the 4 teams play against each in semifinals and winning teams get to play the finals. One amongst them, the Champion team, gets the bragging rights till the next Zonals come.
